Experimental realization of phonon demultiplexing in three-dimensions

چکیده
Phononic metamaterials enabled the realization of many acoustic components analogous to their electronic counterparts, such as transistors, logic gates, and calculators. A key component among these is demultiplexer, a device that receives multiple signals sorts them based on frequencies into separate channels. Previous experimental realizations elastic multiplexers have employed plates with pillars or holes demultiplex frequencies. However, existing are confined two dimensions, which can limit potential circuit design. Here, we show an three-dimensional, four channel phononic demultiplexer. Our design methodology bundles pass-bands within large bandgap easily be tuned for multi-channel frequency demultiplexing.
